Morocco, Taroudant

On the Al-Alaouyine (Assarag) square in Taroudant you can sit and relax while sipping your mint tea and enjoying the animation around you
Although the square is now known as Al-Alaouyine in Arabic, it still carries its Berber name Assarag.

Every age group is represented, from children riding their bikes to older men and women grouping under the shade of trees to talk or play cards.

- In Taroudant, we sat at one of the terraces on the Assarag Sq. and then walked to the Cooperative (government owned souks) to buy some Argan oil and Safran spice.
